September 25, 2012

This photo was taken from my driveway around 9:30pm. It was directly over my house. The sky was very clear though the image seems fuzzy. It is a little over half full.

September 24, 2012

This photo was taken at 6:30pm on 9.24.12 just outside of the Education Building at UAB. I was facing the Stern Library and the moon was visible over the roof of the building. It seems to be about 55-60% full.

September 23, 2012

This photo was taken just outside of my house in the front yard around 8:45pm. It was beginning to go more toward the west. The moon is just over half full.

September 22, 2012

This photo was taken around 9pm from my front yard. The moon was nearly straight over my house. The sky was very clear and the moon was very bright, so the quality of the photo does not represent the way the moon looked very well. It is about half full.

September 20, 2012

This photo was taken around 8pm from my home. It was nearly over the house at this point and appeared to be about 35-40% full in the waxing phase.

September 19, 2012

This photo was also taken from my home facing the backyard (east). The photo's fuzz makes the moon appear fuller than it was. It looked about 25-30% full in the waxing phase.

September 18, 2012

This photo was taken around 7:30pm from my home in Sylacauga. Though it looks nearly half full, the fuzz from the photo makes it appear much fuller than it actually was. When looking at the moon, it was only about 20-25% full in the waxing phase.

September 14, 2012

I looked for the moon this night, but it was not visible during my time awake.

September 11, 2012

This is a sketch of the moon as seen from downtown Birmingham around 8pm. The moon looked very big and low this night. It is in the waning phase and only about 25-30% visible.

September 7, 2012

This is a sketch of the moon from 9.7.12 around 1am. The moon was fairly low in the sky. I was driving down Highway 280 from Birmingham. The moon appeared to be about half full. There were some clouds, but for the most part it was very visible.

September 6, 2012

This is a sketch of the moon as seen from Highway 280 around 10:30pm. I was driving home toward Sylacauga.

September 5, 2012

This picture was taken at 12:35 am early Thursday morning. (Yes, sadly I was up this late on a Wednesday night.) It had risen well above the trees in my backyard. The moon appeared to be about 75% illuminated on its left side.

September 4, 2012

This is a sketch of the moon from Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 11:50pm as viewed from my back porch. I live at the bottom of a wooded hill, so it takes longer for me to see the moon above the tress. The moon seemed to be about 75-80% illuminated on its left side.

September 3, 2012

This photo was taken at 10:30pm. The moon was just inside the opening of several big trees in my back yard. Though the day was stormy and cloudy, the moon was very bright and visible. It looks as if it is beginning to recede again on the right side.

September 2, 2012

The sky was very cloudy tonight making the moon look fuzzy from the ground. The photo makes the moon seem more visible than it was looking at it. This photo was taken around 9:30pm from my back yard.

September 1, 2012

This was taken near Highway 280 in Inverness at 11pm. It was directly above my head. Though the sky was a bit cloudy, the moon was very visible and bright. The moon looks full both in the picture and in the sky, but it still has a little bit to go before being completely full.
